PROJECT LAND – GREEN ETHIOPIA
PLANT MORE THAN 30.000 TREES IN ETHIOPIA
CLEAN MORE THAN 600 TONS OF CO2 PER YEAR
SUPPORT THE LOCAL FARMERS
Desertification and soil erosion are natural phenomena that increased in the last decades due to human activities. We partnered with Green Ethiopia Foundation to reforest a desertified mountain in the “Gulemakeda” Area, giving work to local families and helping them to build cultivable hectares.

R3UNITE helps Green Ethiopia to reforest a desertified mountain in the “Gulemakeda” Area, 30km North/North-west of the Adigrat town, Ethiopia (14°17’21.6”N 39°27’14.1”E).

The forest is planted together with farmers and women’s cooperatives. Locals will be able to start production of wild coffee and change their lives. In addition, the new Gulemakeda Forest will sequester 600 tons of CO2/yr.

PROJECT SEA – SEABIN PROJECT
REMOVE MORE THAN 6,5 TONS OF PLASTICS
THE EQUIVALENT OF MORE THAN 400 OLYMPIC SWIMMING POOLS WATER FILTERED
HELP THE MARINE WILDLIFE
Marine plastic pollution is one of the biggest threats of our time. If we can have rubbish bins on land then why not have them in the ocean? We partnered with the Seabin Project to remove tons of plastic debris from the Mediterranean Sea, helping local species to survive.

R3UNITE helps Seabin Project to finance and bring new seabins in the Mediterranean Sea. The estimated impact of our donation is measured by the company with 6.5 tons of plastic debris removed from the sea or 1 million liters of water filtered, the equivalent of 410 olympic swimming pools.

Through the removal of microplastics from the oceans, the seabins will reduce and slow down the pollution of water with concrete benefits on the health of fish, algae and other local life forms.
